Tencent’s Honor of Kings Is Still the Top-selling Mobile Game Globally
On April 21st, Sensor Tower store intelligence data showed that in March 2023, Tencent‘s Honor of Kings earned $215 million globally on the App Store and Google Play, retaining its position as the best-selling mobile game worldwide. This data does not include third-party Android channels.
Tencent‘s PUBG Mobile (including revenue from “Peace Elite”) ranked second on the list with a revenue of $139 million. Of this, 65.6% of the revenue came from the Chinese iOS market, while revenue from the US market accounted for 8.7%, and Saudi Arabia accounted for 2.8%.
Mihoyo’s Genshin Impact ranks third on the list, with 50.2% of its revenue coming from the Chinese iOS market, 20.2% from the Japanese market, and 9% from the US market.
The other two games in the top five list are King’s Candy Crush Saga and CyberAgent’s Uma Musume Pretty Derby.

The United States remains the highest-grossing market for mobile games in the world, contributing over 1.8 billion, accounting for 29.2% of global revenue. The Chinese iOS market ranks second with a share of 18.4%, and the Japanese market ranks third with a share of 18.2%.
