OnePlus 11 to Launch New Edition Featuring “Unprecedented Special Materials”
Louis Li, President of OnePlus China, posted on March 22 saying that the OnePlus 11 will soon launch a “special edition.” He went on to write, “This new product will be made of unprecedented materials and craftsmanship, making each smartphone unique and once again leading the imagination that is a flagship model.”
On the same day, “@Digital Chat Station,” a Chinese digital tipster, revealed on social media that the materials used in the new version of the OnePlus 11 will be used for the first time in the smartphone industry, which made the rear cover texture of each smartphone different. “It felt cool and had a good texture,” he wrote.

The tipster also denied comments that the device is made of glass. According to an image released by Louis Li, the texture of the rear cover of the new model is like the surface of the planet Jupiter. Some netizens speculated that it may even be made of marble.
Aside from the back cover, the new version is consistent with the standard version of configuration. The processor of the current OnePlus 11 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with a 6.7-inch OLED flexible screen on the front, a resolution of 3216×1440 pixels. It has a rear trio-camera setting (a 50MP main camera, a 32MP telephoto lens, and a 48MP super wide-angle lens). It is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired fast charging.
The name, price and release date of this new device have not been announced, but it can be expected to bring a new experience to consumers.
It is worth mentioning that at the Mobile World Congress 2023 conference held at the end of February, OnePlus released the world’s first active water-cooled smartphone OnePlus 11 concept model. The new phone adopted the “Active CryoFlux” micropump active liquid cooling technology, which improves heat radiation and performance release capability.
The OnePlus 11 concept model has a glass cover which breaks through the limit of glass hot bending technology for the first time, and the hot bending angle is able to reach 84 degrees, far exceeding the general level of the industry. The rear camera area has gone through more than 40 processes with the same CNC carving art as the watch, forming 225 sharp mountain textures, which look very three-dimensional.
