OnePlus Inks Three-Year Strategic Cooperation with Genshin Impact
Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus announced on February 1 that it had reached a three-year strategic cooperation with miHoYo’s action role-playing game Genshin Impact. OnePlus has invested 100 million yuan ($14.8 million) to establish a laboratory to improve the user experience while playing the game, and its new model Ace 2 will be the first to demonstrate the effort.
In this regard, Louis Li, president of OnePlus China, said, “At the beginning of the launch of Genshin Impact, OnePlus paid great attention to it. Its ultimate pursuit of game content and game experience is consistent with the pursuit of extreme performance by OnePlus.”
Li pointed out that in the past two years, the game experience optimization plan of OnePlus and Genshin Impact, code named “alchemy”, has always been aimed at keeping the image quality and user experience as consistent as possible. Both parties have launched cooperative results such as a customized gift box and a special edition smartphone.
OnePlus Ace 2 will be released at 14:30 on February 7 and will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, an exclusive customized professional rendering chip, and a three-stage mechanical switch on the side. Li said that all products in the Ace series will have a three-stage switch design.
On the AnTuTu benchmark, OnePlus Ace 2 scored 1,149,494 points. The device will launch in Silver and Grey color options and will have a centrally-aligned single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. It is the designated phone for the 2023 Game for Peace Professional League in addition to the first season of the Asian League of League of Legends.

According to tipsters, the OnePlus Ace 2 will be equipped with a 6.74-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED screen, 8GB/12GB/16GB memory and 128GB/256GB storage, 16MP front camera, 50MP + 8MP + 2MP back camera, built-in 5000mAh battery and 100W charging.
OnePlus’ game noise reduction headset, Buds Ace, will also be released together with the Ace 2 on February 7. Officials say the headset is recommended by Game for Peace, with a total battery life of 36 hours. A fast charge of 5 minutes can provide 10 hours of playback time. In addition, it supports active noise reduction and will have a dynamic bass system called BassWave.
