Xpeng Aeroht Unveils Plans for World’s First Mass-Produced Detachable Flying Car
At the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Xpeng Aeroht’s co-founder and vice president, Wang Tan revealed that their innovative product, the “Land Aircraft Carrier,” a detachable flying car, will commence pre-orders in the fourth quarter of this year.
The company also plans to start mass production and delivery by the fourth quarter of the following year. If these plans come to fruition, the “Land Aircraft Carrier” will become the world’s first mass-produced detachable flying car aimed at individual consumers.
Xpeng Aeroht is an aviation technology company controlled by Xpeng Motors since 2020. As one of the most prominent flying car manufacturers in Asia, Xpeng Aeroht is committed to creating the safest intelligent electric flying cars. The company envisions its vehicles playing a pivotal role in various sectors, including urban air traffic, tourism, emergency rescue, and low-altitude patrols. This could revolutionize urban three-dimensional transportation.
In a recent milestone, Xpeng Aeroht’s flying car completed its first overseas flight at SkyDive Dubai, a parachuting sports center in Dubai.
Xpeng delivered a total of 20,115 new vehicles in December 2023, a year-on-year increase of 78%. In the fourth quarter, cumulative deliveries exceeded 60,000, a year-on-year increase of 171%. For the whole year of 2023, Xpeng Motors’ total deliveries exceeded 140,000 vehicles. In terms of cumulative historical deliveries, the company surpassed the milestone of 400,000 vehicles.
